Pre-School Graduation!

Although Sammy started Kindergarten in February, he joined Henry yesterday in their Montessori Pre-School "Commencement" at Hillside.

I may have momentarily doubted the sanity of this activity choice when Henry decided he didn't WANT to be dropped-off at pre-school the other day and started throwing some pretty decent kicks and punches at my shins. On the other hand, it's nice to know the kid has some fight in him. Plus, I can always send him to boarding school.



Master Lee had us write "bad habits" on boards that he then had them break. Here is Henry going first.

Mom decided the back-yard wasn't kid-friendly enough... or eco-friendly enough. The result: Fake Grass. You will need to judge for yourself on the level of irony here. However, the kids definitely love it.

Spring break in SoCal pretty much requires a visit to D-Land. Sadly, the river was drained (no canoes!!!?!?! No jungle boat ride?!?!) And I pretty much didn't take any pictures because it took all my concentration not to walk into the people who kept stopping right in front of me every 10 seconds (WTF people? Can't you obey Newton's first law?!)

However, a great time was had.

A visit to San Francisco

Before going to the snow, we decided to take a quick trip to the city. Hint to other travellers with children: AVOID letting them see the Rainforest Cafe by Fisherman's wharf. Bleach... Oh well. Antique coin-arcade was AWESOME!
